This is why we do this. On Thursday, April 3, long-time member Gil Bauer will guide us through a tasting of Bordeaux from our cellar. These wines have been purchased over the last 20+ years and lovingly stored, waiting to be shared. The Experience:
- Embark on a journey through Bordeaux’s iconic appellations, from the right bank to the left, as we delve into the history, craftsmanship, and unique terroir that define these celebrated wines.
- After an aperitif, discover a selection of 9 remarkable wines, including 3 Grand Crus from Saint-Émilion (2008, 2015, 2016), 4 classified 2nd growths from St. Julien—featuring two vintages from Léoville Barton (2003, 2005), one from Léoville Poyferré (2003), and the acclaimed 2000 vintage of Gruaud Larose. Rounding out the tasting are exquisite wines from Pessac-Léognan and Margaux, showcasing the diversity and depth of Bordeaux’s winemaking heritage.
- Enjoy thoughtfully prepared nibbles designed to complement the wines, including charcuterie meats and cheeses courtesy of Van Hook and other savory and sweet bites.

Location: 82 Union Street, Montclair, NJ 07042. Please be sure to secure a ticket before the day of the event as we cannot accept walk-in attendees. Ample parking in the rear of the building. Aperitif to be served at 7:30pm and we will sit for the tasting at 8pm.
