Northern Italian White Wines, November 7th, 2024

The Wine Press

Essex County Wine Society – November 7th, 2024

Dear Fellow Wine Society Members and Esteemed Guests:

On Thursday, November 7th, Susan Harris enlightened us all to the charms of Northern Italian white wines and showed that name recognition and price are not always the best predictors of enjoyability in a wine. It was a perfect presentation, educational, fun, and delicious. Thank you, Susan!

Wine number six was wine of the night with nine votes. The runner up was wine number nine with seven votes. Interestingly, wines number seven and ten were the most expensive by far but each only received one vote.

Accompanying nibbles featured crostini with roasted garlic and tomato compote and burrata, caciocavallo cheese, and prosciutto that were all excellent pairings for the wines. Thank you, Marjorie!
